AJK Masakan aka Cooking Committee

I attended AGM BAKAT TUDM Jugra Regiment 2010 yesterday. BAKAT stands for Badan Kebajikan Keluarga Angkatan Tentera - an association to unite n look after the wives n family of armed forces, similar to PERKEP - Persatuan Kebajikan Keluarga Polis. I joined BAKAT since i was a kid, following Ma who was the ahli BAKAT since 1975 - 1997. She was a great Chairperson / Pengerusi BAKAT back in 1994-1995 of 25 RAMD. I had the opportunity to teach those children the Endang Dance in Pakit Camp, Sri Aman, Sarawak :)

When i married hubby in 2006, automatically i became a member of BAKAT. Although i was busy attending the Mass Comm Masters class in 2006, i did attend a few activities organized by BAKAT TUDM Jugra Regiment - cooking class, BBQ etc. Bcos we lived in the quarters there, so i cud spend my time for BAKAT activities.

2007 was quite a busy year for me. I reported duty in KDN (KKDN at that time), attending courses etc that have limit me from joining BAKAT. I cud only meet up w BAKAT members when we attended mess nite somewhere in KL. 2008 became worse, when i attended DPA that i've to focus on my duty. I only met up w them during the CO's daughter wedding cememony in Kelana Jaya.

So when i was appointed as the Culture Committee in BAKAT 2009, it was quite a surprise. I was lucky because the team members will keep me updated w the activities etc. I attended Ladies Nite function in Pulai Springs Resort last year, wearing an "over" bling2 dress which is quite similar to Dato' CT's during her launching album ~CTKD~ this year. Mine is dark chocolate. It costs me ~RM400, by Envee Alamanda. So who says her wardrobe is only filled w thousands of dollars kind of dress? hahaha p/s: A special tq to Ina who noticed the dress :P

And last 2 days were double shocked - i was appointed as the Cooking Committee of 2010 y'all. Hahaha. The head of the committee is Kak Hamidah, wife of Lt. Col Halimat who stays outside of the base. I m her assistant who also stay outside the base. My assistant is working (an airwoman) who was very hesitant when i approached her that day. Her name was picked up by the Chairperson, not me so what the h@#*? We are all working so come on ok? B a smart lady. We can tolerate in organizing at least twice cooking classes monthly. Hmm, out of the blue i was thinking of Cik Zu (*wink, wink*) hehe

So now i need to update the log book n wait until the next meeting with committee members to plan and execute the activities of 2010. Wish me luck :) Not forgetting to wish all the women out there a very "Happy Women Day 2010".

p/s: Still deep in my heart, Ma was the best Chairperson ever. 2 thumbs up to her!!
